A USB flash-drive is a removable storage medium (like a Floppy or CD/DVD but considerably smaller and based on a completely different technology). For more info on USB flash drives visit:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USB_flash_drive
I don't see the connection between wireless configuration and Flash Drives. I guess Windows has wrongly identified/diagnosed the problem casuing you to not connect to the Hub.
Please verify that your laptop supports the kind of wireless standard which is employed by the hub (there are 3 wireless standards 802.11a, 802.11b & 802.11g and none of them are compatible with the others. Details: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IEEE_802.11). Any incompatibilities cannot be corrected except by replacing one of the devices with another compatible device.
1GB = 1024 MB and that's enough storage to hold thousands of MP3s, files and lots more. Now-a-days the capacity of storage devices is usually measured in GBs.

Well USB flash drives are compact and easy-to-use flash memory data storage devices integrated with a USB interface. The term "USB flash drive" is a generic term used to describe these products without specifying a particular manufacturer. USB flash drives are sold by many different companies under a variety of different proprietary product names such as JumpDrive, DataTraveler and Attaché, to name just a few. The term "USB flash drive" is used in the same manner that the term "DVD" and "CD-RW" are used; to describe the technology in generic terms. Other common names and terms are pen drive, memory stick and thumb drive.

A flash drive is just a little memory stick that you can slot into your usb drive and copy files to.
Ten quid seems like very good value. They start at 256Mb, and I have seen ones up to 8GB.
To put GB in perspective, you probably have about 80GB of storage on your computer hard drive, and your 2GB memory stick would hold thousands of mp3s.

It is only asking you to connect a flash drive to transfer over the details of the network that you are trying to setup. You can do it manually on your laptop by running wireless network setup wizard in your my network places on your laptop. You will of course have to have a router connected to you BTHome hub as the hub itself doesnt have wireless conectivity.
2gb flash drive for £10 is ok and a GB is a gigabyte which is equal to 1000mb or megabytes.

nicely, the respond isn't particular except you attempt it. yet there is usually a danger in each thing you do. undergo in strategies that. i'd propose you to no longer encase your usb flash tension in warm glue. that's going to maximum possibly deactivate the programming, code, and different issues geared up into the chip that's mandatory to function. yet another element is that those issues are quite comfortable to electric present day, warmth, and moisture. and that i've got a remark to the guy who mentioned it grow to be interior the washer. grow to be the cap on? you probably did some thing to guard it. the each physique is extraordinary. warmth will injury or smash it, deprogram it, and/or delete each thing on it. do no longer DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!! So i think of you need to no longer, however the alternative is yours. My answer: No. that's no longer secure to you warm glue on your USB flash tension.
