depends what your looking for in a film, gangster movies, england or italy.......romantic comedies, america or usa.......war films, usa or korea/china/far east etc!

Mexico has come up with some super films recently. Us film culture is incredibly rich but then there is also so much dross. The US tends to cream off a lot of international talent anyway so that American film is produced by European, or Asian talent. Ridley Scott, Ang Lee etc

Japan does good horror. I have seen some excellent Korean films too like 'Oldboy'
Europe unearths a few gems now and then too.

as a brit I would find that the best entertainment movies come from USA
