Happened to us when we during our first year too!! Makes life HELL!!! You need to get a consolidated credit loan, pay it off the long hard way, and then Swear you will NEVER get into that kind of debt ever again!! It worked for us because we never forgot what that worrying about the phone calls was Like!! We Do Better than all right now!! But we are a lot Older!! Never let yourself live from paycheck to paycheck!! That is No Way to Live. Good Luck, Honey!!! @8-)

I wasn't deep in debt until I married my first wife. Now that she is gone, I'm debt free, except for a mortgage again.

The woman I'm dating now is a bit more of a saver than first wife was, and it looks like we will not have those same issues.

There is no reason to be in debt. You can live without brand new cars or SUV's satellite TV, or a new dress every other week.

Save for things in advance instead of charging them on a credit card and you will have a much less stressful life.

Why would you spend so much money on a wedding you couldn't afford to live comfortably afterwards?

See if you can get a loan to consolidate your bills... if that would lower your monthly payments, then do that... and cut up all your credit cards! My husband and I have yet to own a credit card. If we can't afford it with the money we have in our account, then we wait until we save enough and can.

Good luck!

And you are having a kid according to your previous question!

WOW, why did you go in debt knowing a child was on the way?

As for collection calls (I used to do that) all you have to do is tell them this "Please do not call my home or work ever again, I am requesting that all correspondence be by mail" Then they can not call you again, its the law!
