Yes its completely normal. I was very tired in the beginning of my pregnancy and again in the last trimester of my pregnancy. The contractions you are experiencing are probably Braxton Hicks. This helps to prepare your body, if you are experiencing contractions every 5min phone your midwife. Good luck!

Feeling tired is very common at the last stage of pregnancy and the contractions you are feeling could be those nice things called Braxton Hicks - these are like contractions - preparing the unterus for the work it has to do for pushing out baby, these are not exactly comfortable and can sometimes be quite painful. As you are 39 weeks I would keep and eye on these and if they become to painful contact your midwife team or the hospital, when I had my first the hospital were great when I thought I was going into labour - it turned out I was not but they said if I was still unhappy to go back.

I wish you all the very best for the birth

Very normal. Put your feet up. Enjoy the last few days of peace! get all the rest you can, you'll need it! if the contractions feel different from the braxton hicks you're probably used to, or if you're not sure, take some paracetamol (or Tylenol), and have a warm bath. If the pain doesn't get any easier, and / or contractions get regular / closer together, ring your midwife / labour ward

Oh yes very.
I barely wanted to get off the sofa when I was that far gone.
The contractions are most likely Braxton Hicks - the practice contractions. I wouldn't be too concerned unless they become painful and regular - also watch out for that mucus plug/slimy discharge stuff which could be a sign your cervix is starting to open.
Exciting! Good luck!

Yes, it's normal. I am 38 weeks pregnant and constantly tired and feel sleepy (yet still find it hard to sleep) Also it is quite normal to get alot and intense braxton hicks towards the end of your pregnancy as your body is getting ready for birth.. Good luck! Xx

I was like this a couple of days before I went into labor with both of my children. You are tired because your body is getting ready for labor and those long sleepless nights. You are 39 weeks so I'm guessing you only have about 1-2 weeks left. If your baby were to come now it would be fine. Good Luck and congratulations.

It is normal to become more tired as the end approaches...start timing your contractions if they become regular and are not just braxton hicks then I would sugguest calling your doc you may be close to labour...good luck...
