When your furthur along you go more often . After your first check up and all that you should be seen at least once every month if there are no complications. When you get about 7 or 8 months you go every other week and in your last month until you have the baby you go every week. Did your mid wife schedule you an appiontment more than a month away from the first time you say him or her? If so than thats kind of long not to get a check up. Some people don't find out they're pregnant until about how far along you are, so I wouldn't worry about the baby, but I guess at your next appointment you'll see when they make your next appointment. If they don't make one before you leave, make one with them. In the area of pregnancy that you are its best to make all of your apointments. Your baby is forming teh most right now and anything out of the ordinary can and may be detected at this point.

When it's your 1st pregnancy you see the GP or Midwife at around 6-8 weeks to confirm the pregnancy but obviously that depends on when you find out your pregnant :)
Then at around 10 weeks your supposed to have your booking in appointment with your midwife where they take details from you about your health history, lifestyle etc. She should also take some bloody samples after discussing with you why etc.
At 16 weeks you should have an appointment again with the midwife to review your blood tests and might take another bloody sample from you if you want the Downs Syndrome test and the Spina Bifida test done.
By now you may have already had a dating scan booked and done.
Between 19-22 weeks ONLY IF YOU WANT TO you have the anomaly scan where some hospitals let you know the babys sex if its a girl or boy.
At 25 weeks you have an appointment with your GP where he checks your blood pressure, urine sample and your babys growth and heart beat. By the way at pretty much every visit they do the urine sample check and bloody pressure etc.
THEN at 28 weeks midwife does all the standard urine sample blood pressure yadeyadeda. She will also ask you to do another bloody sample to check Iron levels and for any antibodies in your blood.
At 31 weeks you see your GP again to review the blood tests and do the standard urine test etc
At 34 weeks you see your midwife again to discuss issues like how your going to feed the baby, she might take ANOTHER bloody sample for iron levels again.
36 weeks Midwife again. She helps prepare for the birth discussing with you your birth preferences and shegives you more information.
38 weeks you see the GP to arrange things like how your going to get to the hospital unless your having a home birth of course etc things like that
At 40 weeks you see the midwife to discuss induction options and may offer you a stretch and sweep .
At 41 weeks if the baby hasnt come yet you see the midwife to discuss inducing the labour.
I really hope that helps. :-)

Sounds pretty normal, My son is 12 weeks old, so I remember it well - appointments were booking in at 13 wks, scan at 13 weeks, nothing at all til 20 weeks. Think its every month, then as you get further on every 2 weeks and then (at the very end, every week. Is rough time scale tho, as it depends the less often they want to see you, the better they think you're doing. BUT, ask at your local clinic if they have a community midwife meet and greet thing you can go to, and of course, ring them yourself between appointments if you are at all worried

It depends on the area. This would definitely be normal if you already have children. If this is your first child, then I would have expected 2 appointments by now. But in general you really don't see the midwife very much in the first 5 months or so.

Until your well into your second trimester you wont see the doc more than once a month, unless you have medical complications...then your appointments will turn into every 2 weeks and then towards the end it will be weekly...unless you are concerned or have complications then the once a month appointments are perfectly normal at the start.

in the beginning it's normal to see the Dr only every 6 weeks then in the 3rd trimester every month and the last couple weeks of the pregnancy every week. there is no need to see the Dr all the time unless your having problems with the pregnancy
