Yes, always. E-mail addresses are case-insensitive. fred@therapist.com is the same as Fred@TheRapist.com :)

For web address, everything between the http:// and the first / after that are case-insensitive.

In most cases, e-mail providers are not CASE SENSITIVE. The smart thing to do, is to use an ADDRESS BOOK. Add people to the address book by using COPY and PASTE from the e-mail that they sent you. Then you know it will WORK when you use the Address book.

The bigger threat to e-mail is some of the SPAM services that some Internet Providers use. Your email address could get blocked. Sometimes it is not because of you, but their provider accidentally blocks your provider.

You see, SPAM is not just a nuisance, it is going to WRECK the Internet.

Good luck and Happy Computing!

Contrary to what is being said here, Its actually case sensitive but most of the time it goes thru, I HAVE seen exceptions tho. I had a friend whos addy had to be typed in exactly as it was or it wouldnt go through.

Technically speaking e-mail addresses are case sensitive (see RFC 2821, http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc2821) but practically speaking they are case insensitive as treating them as case sensitive would considerably imped interoperability amonsts mail servers and is highly discouraged.
