What you have heard about are carbonaceous chondrites. "They contain water-bearing minerals and carbon compounds including a variety of organic molecules such as amino acids," materials associated with life. Scientists believe they do have the capability of "seeding" life on planets and some believe that it was possible that this is how life was formed on earth.

For life as we know it to form from these meteorites, the conditions had to be just right. Such things like the amino acids having to be able to stew in a kind of primordial soup and then primitive life would begin. Earth has changed a great deal from those days when the first life formed here. Those chondrites are basically just rocks from outer space now as the conditions are no longer right to further seed this planet.

ADDED: This is not bunk as one suggested, it is science. There will always be ignorant ones who will try to dissuade you from trying to learn more about such things as this, but do not be discouraged. The more you learn and the more you understand, the better the conclusions you can make as to what you think and believe.

Once again you don't understand the meaning of the word theory. A theory only comes after all the hypothesis associated with the phenomena have been tested and proved significantly.

The stuff you saw on TV is NOT theory, not hypothesis either. Just some more bunk brought to you by people that are only interested in getting your money.

I have heard some of these theories and they can't be true.
They couldn't have survived the rigors of outer space.
To get them here would require some sort of transportation.
A Peace of mars knocked into orbit.
The collision would have killed any organism, high temperatures would have been involved.
The entering the atmosphere,blazing.
Look what happened to the space shuttle.

I would have to disagree with that. If any living organisms, weather cells, bacterias, animals or whatever, came from another planet I say it would have to be Venus. As we know the sun like any other star grows bigger over time until it eventually becomes and superstar and dies. Now I believe that when the sun was smaller venus amotsphere was almost like earth's and there was even water in venus. Now as the sun grew larger water evaporated and a greenhouse effect was created, keeping all the heath inside the planet and killing most if not all of its living things.
