Did anybody listen to Nick Ferrari last night on LBC, there was a disscussion about a school in North London that has now decided to serve only Halal meat, it is not giving the option to serve 'regular meat' to british children, they have no choice but to eat Halal. Do you think this is unfair, we dont do force our religion upon other countries so should it be done to us. I would like to know other peoples views on this subject.

This is a british school, with a minority of Muslim children

The difference is only the way the animal is slaughtered, but why should we have Muslim religion forced upon our british children, surely they are allowed a choice.

It is quite weird, don't you think, that the other bunch of terrorists haven't jumped on the band waggon here. I mean the 'animal rights' mob.
At least our culture has devised a system of quick and humane killing for animals, and doesn't rely on the 2000yr old tradition of hacking at the jugular with a 'holy' knife'!

I love LBC by the way, Steve allen is the bomb.

I do think this is ridiculous, if a child requires special catering they should seek a school that would provide it. This is a Christian country.

If they want to cater to every group, they should go vegan... then vegetarian, then Kosher, then, maybe, halal... up to halal, they are truly catering to everyone... Halal in my list is catering to the least number of minorities there, and only to the most likely to complain, with violent protests..

whats wrong with giving our kids a steak or a nice juicy bit of bacon. If my kids said they were only getting halal meat i'd put them on sandwiches with some british beef in.

well, it isn't against christianity to eat halal meat, is it?

if they didn't tell them, they probably wouldn't even notice. So what is the problem with helping some kids feel more comfortable eating at school?
