Can somebody please help i have a guinea pig about a year old and she has a bold patch on her back about the size of a 10p, the hair looks like its startin to come back now???? she is eating ok and seems happy enough. any ideas???

could be eczema, or an allergy, I guess it is best to check with a vet. I hope better soon x

It sounds like a condition caused by a mite,its called selnic,you have to bath them in a special solution from the vets,guinea pigs love water,honestly.You have to treat his home and any other pigs you have,left untreated they can actually die.

That could be a scrape, ringworm, mites, an allergy or vit C deficiency; she really needs to see a vet for a diagnosis. Don't mess about, find out what it is and get it treated!

Probably allergies or a skin condition. Wheat can cause hair loss but I think you should switch the brand of pellets that you give her.

It could be a fungus or mites. Either way, the poor piggie is very uncomfortable. Please see a vet for diagnosis so it can be treated promptly. Mite infestation can cause death.

i had a guinea pig that this happened to, it is lack of vitamin c they need it daily,it isnt in their pelletts they need greens daily
