Today's computer programs are already capable of learning like humans, by observation, by sounds and find their way around by trial and error. Some developers have already come up with robots that are capable of learning and behaving like a human infant. It is not mainly a problem of software that is hindering the progress of computer technology but the hardware aspect. Today's computers simply lack the processing power to match up to the human brain. Today's very biggest super computers are within a factor of a hundred of having the power to mimic a human mind. It is only a matter of time before computers become even more powerful than the human brain. However, there is still one thing lacking there too. It is not just the actions of a human brain that make up its thought processes. Its also the emotional side of it as well. Being able to differentiate between right and wrong. There are some things you can't program into a microchip. And that is human emotion.

computers are not intellegent at all. All computers do is follow step by stey instructions that are given by a progammer. Computers can not reason, or make decisions. The decsions are made by programs that are pre-configured, you can not compare a machine that can only process 0's and ones to a human brain that can reason, make decissions, and know good from bad, wrong from right. Is like comparing apples and oranges. Only thing I can say about computers is that they can process numbers really fast. Thats it! Computers are very dumb, without the man made programs and operating systems they would just be a chunk of metal unable to do anything. I dont see computers being smarter than humans any time soon. Maybe once they come up with CPUs that can reason on their own.

No way. We only know a fraction of the human brain and mind it creates. We're so far off from understanding it that I don't think there's a chance.
Computers can think with logic like the human brain. What makes them look smart is that they can do it so much faster. But how smart is something that can only think by being told how to think? They'd be just like products of the school system. Even today, when you look at the attempts to mimic a human with all kinds of technology, it's pitiful. Doesn't even come close to a real human.
People think and computers think, but no computer thinks it thinks.

It all depends on how you define intelligence. Can a computer exceed the calculating ability of a human brain? Yes. But will a computer be able to dream, love, hope, and feel? I think not.

Unlikely at best. Whilst the very fastest computers in the world may be able to calculate extremely fast (see http://www.top500.org for the fastest (recorded) computers in the world), the computer scientists out there still have a lot more work to do to get computers to be able to think like a dog, let alone a human. Although I should imagine it will happen sooner or later.

It relies upon on the type you classify intelligence, and that i will no longer provide you a straight away definite or no. i will enable you comprehend this - no 2 human minds are in any way equivalent. some human beings are very good at specific aspects, jointly as others are not and vice versa. working example, some human beings have an analytical recommendations this is good for, properly, diagnosis. on the different hand, some human beings have brains that are very good for corporation or aesthetics, or creative works (creativity). i will assure you that jointly as Einstein grew to become into an stunning physicist he grew to become into no longer an extremely good artist.

i dont think that it will happen for a simple reason. the invention never matches the inventor.and the human brain is so complicated and it develops with our knowlege but the computer doesnot...and ofcourse becouse god created us and we cant create some thing which is better or smarter.
