personally, i like it alot. kids will be kids, and sometimes, a name that is different will present teasing, but a lot of times, teasing will just be a part of childhood.
it conjures up a gentle but strong, precious presence. if she gets teased, she will overcome it with her stature. she will persevere and charm herself into the hearts of others...
yeah, kind of sounds hippy-ish. but, being an old hippy myself, i love the uniqueness, and the self confidence it embraces....
good luck, congratulations to you and your family..

What feeling do i get? That's an interesting question. Personally, to me, I feel it's very hippy-ish. That's my first thoughts when i see it. I imagine a girl with long flowy skirts and flowers on her, that's really friendly and lovely but that i couldn't take too seriously (could never be a lawyer or a doctor or a similar profession with that name).
I love both the names, but not together. I think either of them should go with a more traditional solid name, then the child could use that if they wanted to go into a more proffesional type job. Such as Meadow Renae, Meadow Roseanne or Meadow Rebecca, if you want a R name. Or Meadow Anne, Meadow Louise, Meadow Jane or something you prefer for a middle name. Or use Rain as a first name, and then a stronger middle name. It has to be something you like though, I've just picked random names!

I think of an English countryside with green fields and misty rain. It definitely feels earthy and a little hippie. And I think a lot will depend on how Meadow goes with your last name because those two together are what people will call her most, like Meadow Smith or whatever her last name will be. Its definitely not as out there as some names people are giving their babies these days, and at least this one is pretty and girlie.

I know this will sound bad or mean, but I assure you that I am not trying to be either. But you asked what feeling I got from the name Meadow Rain, and to be honest the first thing I thought of was a one of of those old douche commercials from the 1980's. I know that it sounds like I'm just an ******, but I'm just being honest as to what that name conjured up to me.
Congratulations and good luck with your pregnancy.

Rain means "abundant blessing from above". It's a good name. I'm not sure what meadow means. It's very important to choose the right name for your child. Names are very powerful. I would recommend the the "Name Book" by Dorothy Astoria. It's a very good reference for name meanings and origin.

I sounds pretty but seems like a name right out of the 70's psychedelic (sp) period. Why not use Meadow for the first name but something else for the middle name. Just a suggestion because all in all the name is up to you and your husband. :) If you want to stick with an 'R' name....
Meadow Renee
Meadow Reece
Meadow Roselyn
Meadow Ryan (yes, Ryan is a girls name, too)

relies upon on WHAT unisex call you opt for for. I also have a pal named Fran (Francis). He would not like the call simply by fact it relatively is linked with the female. My call is Robin, it incredibly is usually a woman's call in the US, yet extra regularly a boys call in the united kingdom. however I even have wide-unfold a pair of fellows with the call, like the baseball participant Robin Ventura. a woman can carry off a attractiveness it relatively is seen masculine extra desirable than a boy can carry off a attractiveness seen female. uncomplicated names like Pat, Chris, Aaron/Erin, Peyton, etc., are much less possibly to be linked with one gender over yet another. whilst watching unisex names, those ought to be the main suitable ones to contemplate. As a woman, having a unisex call could be an income in the pastime marketplace. A potential company won't unavoidably anticipate that the resume he or she is watching belongs to a girl. despite you do, discover names that the two you and your husband like. stable good fortune!

The name Meadow reminds me of the tv show The Sopranos. That is Tony Soprano's daughters name....
I think it is a unique name though. Just make sure that it is a name that you can live with and a name that your baby can deal with for the rest of her life.
