I definitely agree with the water answer. If you are SURE you have no infections, etc., then lack of water is the culprit. To figure out how much water you should be drinking, figure out your weight in pounds, and drink 1 ounce of water PER pound For example, if you weigh 130 pounds, you should drink 130 ounces (or 1.015 gallons) of water EVERY DAY. In addition, if you are a moderate to overly active person or a person under age 18, you should drink even MORE water than this recommended amount. Good luck!

I just saw your "additional details"...its time to see the doctor about this specific problem, its obviously more than a simple fix...good luck.

Sometimes it can just be because your urine is concentrated and often what you eat and drink can have an effect on the odor of your urine... like if you eat a lot of garlic or asparagus or onions or spicy foods.

If your urine smells sweet, visit your physician to have your blood sugar checked. This can be an early sign of diabetes. You have a higher predisposition to diabetes if you are overweight, black or it runs in your family.

Does it always smell or just recently? Foods you eat can cause it to smell. Asparagus is a big culprit.
