Most people think thats the janitors job and disrespect everything and everybody, but not all are flithy pigs some do watch what we do and make our kids do the same.

because they are P I G S> or from a foreign country. I've stood up because i was uncomfortable. but i turn around and wipe the seat off when I'm done, not rocket science. I understand about different cultures but..... HERE IS A BIG CLUE!! if there is no trash can in the stall with you. throw the frigging toilet paper in the toilet! wrap your nasty pad in toilet paper and throw it away when you go to wash your hands. But they most likely don't do that either. back to your question... maybe it makes them feel like they are better than someone, anyone. Re: the urinals. I think men have no control over that thing, especially when they let it out their pants. it starts early in life.

Wondered the same thing when I worked as a janitor. The only answer I could ever come up with is that people are just plain nasty, filthy pigs.
Women hover over the seat instead of sitting down and men think they are hung like elephants. I kept trying to get my last boss to let me hang signs above the urinals that said "stand close, it's shorter than you think" but was never allowed to.

I know what you mean; I'm not a janitor, but I try to maintain the suite I work in.
It's mostly doctors & you'd be amaze how many don't flush the toilet & wash their hands.
I've had to put signs up about the pads also.
Some people act like they just don't know any better.
Makes me sick!

I can add to this, due to not even having an answer to the guy part of the original question (I'd like to see the guilty guy or woman actually answer either of these!)
And so further, why do people pee on the seat cover and don't wipe it up. (Even if you don't like to wipe up, why not at least lift the seat cover?)

ok, right it incredibly is nutrition for theory: while the seat is left up by ability of all people and the bathroom flushed in the open place, all that waste aerosols into the air spreading that staggering mess onto your hand towels, the teeth brushes, hair brushes, ect. so which you wash your palms and dry them on a towel that has only been contaminated with what you washed off of your palms. sturdy adequate reason to close the bathroom thoroughly? Satisfies all in my domicile, adult men and girls. "Seats down" (pun meant:, palms down)

People are very disrespectful when using public restrooms. They should be made to clean there own mess up. They are the first to complain if the restroom is dirty when they go into it. Women I believe usually are the worst.

well maybe there are no seat covers to sit on and maybe there is no place to dispose of the pads, and may be the men are drunk or something. not all people are nasty-pigs the way it was put, but maybe they had no one to teach them the proper way.
