i have this debate on space exploration and i have to speak abt "space exploration - a waste of time". Can all of you please give me a few points on why space exploration is such a waste of time. Please. It would be a great help. I tried searching online, but i dont have enough material. So please help. Thank You.

The reason that you cannot find much material is simple. Space exploration is an extremely valuable endeavour -- valuable to all of humanity. NASA has save millions of lives over the years via the weather satellites, medical breakthroughs, crop forecasting, and more.

The exploration of space is man's last great frontier, the undiscovered country if you will. What we seek is answers to questions like "is anyone out there?" and "why are we here?". Ever since man first gazed up into the night he has pondered these questions-and more. Space Exploration helps us understand ourselves and our planet a little bit better. Who knows in the vastness of space may come a voice saying "You Are Not Alone", imagine that moment, everyone's lives will change forever. No, Space Exploration isn't a waste of time - for those who question.

You could talk about the costs, go for short term things like helping the poor, feeding the hungry - healthcare and education but you're on the wrong side of the debate.
Space exploration is about the most important activity for the human race.

It's a waste of time until humanity gets our civilisation sorted out. In the mean time we could send probes and use the Hubble telescope. Personally I don't think it is.

its not at all a waste of time. think if an astroid that is headed stright to earth and no one on earth didnt know about it because no one didnt went to outter space.

it's not waste of time. Scientist send satellites to far planets cuz they wannu see if there's any life other than on earth.
