I am 29 this year and would like to go into acting do you think it's too late to start thinking about becoming famous because most celebrities started out in their teens and early twenties

Liz Smith (Nanna from The Royle Family) started acting when she was 50 years old and look what she has accomplished. I think you should try and achieve your dream but if I were you I wouldn't waste too long on doing so because it is a very difficult profession to get into to, but if you never try then you will never know - good luck

Go for it! You are not too old. This actor, Bill Smitrovich, did not start acting until he was in his early 30's. His first big break came at the age of 39, when he landed a role on the tv series Crime Story in 1986.

Was only wondering that this morning about George Clooney - whether he's been in anything before ER. If not he was much older than you!
Join drama groups and amaetur dramatics - I use actors from these for my work and some of them get work as extras in stuff like Corrie and Bodies. You've got to start somewhere!

Not at all, actors come in all shapes and sizes as well as all different ages, so just go with your dream and the best of luck. Its a tough industry but I have no doubt that you will get a job!

no. did you see the jedis on the new star wars movies? they look like teen-agers but i suppose the story calls for such, however disappointing and marketed towards gleeful kids it looked. anakin was a punk was obvious, the guy who became darth. some cool "lanky" "troubled" boy who deserves no leverage from the order. i don't know what you look like but i will cast you in something if i was a filmmaker anyway.

I agree with your comment about celebs starting acting early, but talent and luck have a lot to do with sucess also.

Never to late. There have been a lot of actors that didn't start til they were much older.

Dennis Farhina, I think is his name--on Law and Order. He apparently was a cop that starred as an extra on something, now has a career.

No you are definately not too old, you're still a baby, you've got plenty of time ahead of you! Go for it, lifes too short for regrets, its the talent that counts not your age.
