I would make all work to be done on a laptop cause it will as well help the students to take more intrest in studies.Then I would reduce the amount of homework & instead give them more fun activities.

I don't quite understand the latter part of your question. You mentioned if you were one you would declare a holiday..... don't schools and colleges get their share of holidays? If I were principal I would give work and play equal importance and be approachable and open to new ideas from students. I would strive to make my school/college the best place for a student where they could grow academically as well as socially.
