For most a calculator would be the way to answer this. However, if you look at the numbers you can see something. The number 777 can be changed to 7+7+7 which equals 21
21 happens to be the number we are dividing by. But going further, if we take 21 and make it 2+1, we get 3. By adding up the numbers and coming up with a number 3, we now know our number is divisible by 3, and will have no remainder. This works for any number that can be broken down into a product of 3 (3,6,9,12,15,18,....)
So if we take a random number like 999, we now it is divisible by 3 because 9+9+9=27 and 2+7=9 9 is divisible by 3.
