Burnings of "heretical" versions of the bible are still going on, and we know little or nothing about the authors. The numbers of translations (did you know the King James version is based on the worst latin translation?), and the inevitable errors (and outright additions and changes - the part about the adulterous woman being brought before jesus and him saying "who will cast the first stone" doesn't exist in any of the hundreds of first and second century versions we have today) of copying before the printing press was invented make the whole thing suspect.

Aren't the Constitution's rights based on the many teachings of the Bible?

Bibles are not going to protect or establish my civil rights, but the Old Testiment makes for some good reading. Given that the bible is a compilation of a number of texts and obscure as to authorship, it has a cloudy provenance.

The exception to this rule is that if the state says that Christians won't be in a position to hold forth the gospel (a million Peter 4:14-15). thankfully, the form protects our suitable to try this. of direction the be conscious of God is extra substantial than something secular, to me, and could be to each Christian. whether, no longer each and every person is Christian, so i does no longer anticipate non-believers to experience the comparable way.

I read the Bible frequently and can honestly say that I have never read the entire Constitution.

Either would almost hurt me to burn them. I would burn the Constitution because if I got close enough to the Consttution to burn it, then the Constitution is nothing more then a piece of paper. And the country is already in shambles.

I don't burn books, I read them. Yes we do know who wrote the Bible. Its a compilation of stories that were put together. Some were included and some were not.
