After yesterday's goal glut once again it raised more questions. Jol likes to play the big man little man, and Mido proved he is the best target man at the club. Thing is that if Mido plays then who would play with him. Should it be Keane and Berbatov? What about Defoe. Who is the best Spurs partnership?

I should add that I personally think that Berbatov and Keano are the best front two. I just think the way Jol plays suits Mido better as he will win more headers. We play so direct sometimes and we need someone up for the arial challenge at all times. When we play football on the deck (the way it should be played) we should play Keano and Berbatov. Without doubt Berbatov is the best forward at the club.

at the moment and for the rest of the year its probably mido and keane. I know berbatov is the best but without a settled central midfield and no crosses from the left we are going to have to play long a fair bit. and mido does that target man job better than most in the whole league. would like to see berbs and mido together though, don't think thats happened yet.

I would have to agree that this issue shouldn't about who is going to play with Mido, but rather who is going to play with Berbatov. He has been class up front. I had thought that Mido was best with him, but I think that the pace of Keane compliments Berbatov's style as well. I don't think it should be Defoe with Berbatov for that fact that most every time I have seen them paired together one of them is substituted, and Berbatov always has word for Defoe because he doesn't like how he plays the ball to him. So in all yes Mido is a good target man, but was only started this afternoon because Spurs had to deal with height issues from Fulham.

All 4 are good on their day...but overall i think Berbatov is the best,i think he's the most versatile....but we play so many games now,if we are gonna challenge for trophies you need 4 strikers, that's why Jol keeps rotating them...it's impossible to say which is the best mix...Mido didn't have that great a game last night...but produced 2 great flick-ons at the right time allowing Keano to get his goals...but then Berbatov comes on and scores 2 great goals...the second was just pure class and genious...if Thierry Henry had scored that goal we would never hear the last of it!!

Defoe is also great when in form and him and Berbatov have both scored when playing together,so i think Jol will always play the big/small format when he can...who plays with who just depends on their form in training and if they have played for their national side in mid-week and need a rest or not!!

we are lucky to have such a problem up front!

Ok, I speak as an Arsenal fan so feel free to ignore my answer...

However, watching the game it was obvious that Mido had a poor game. He had two assists but not because he presented Keane with easy tap-ins. Mido was fortunate because Keane's finishes on both were so emphatic. Also Mido could easily have been flagged for offside in the build uo for both I think.

And you have to remember Mido's forty yard backpass that put Robinson under pressure, and that Mido almost scored an own goal too.

So, yeah, Mido didn't have a good game. Keane and Berbatov (and goalie Robinson for that matter) were all excellent.

I disagree ....... Mido IMHO didn't prove he is the best target man at Spurs. OK he set up two goals but he isn't in the same class as Berbatov who in fact proved he is the best target man at the club by coming on and scoring 2 goals !
So it's really a matter of who plays with Berbatov....... and I'm happy with who ever is inform at the time, so it would be Keane for me at the moment. But if his form and or goals drop off then put Defoe in with Berbar King.
It's all about competition really and you must have 4 top strikers to keep the others on there toes and cover for injuries and suspensions.

It is clear that Defoe and Keane dont play well together. My mot regular selection would be Keane & Berbatov. But I feel Defoe & Berbatov or Mido & Berbatov although I like to have at least one home nation player in there.

Berbatov & Mido. Keane should play behind the two as an attacking midfielder.

Martin Jol has signed so many midfielders in his time as manager I'm surprised he has room for two strikers.

Of what I've seen, Berbatov demands a shirt. He's a sublime talent, of the little fellas - Keane is the better technician but Defoe has pace and a better scoring record.

Doubtless Jol will sell one of them to make room for another midfielder.

well i wouldnt say mido is defo best target man. its between him and berbatov depending on whos in form. defoe is useless and robbie keane is class so its easy to decide on the little man.
