The Atom has essentially two parts which are composed of smaller particles. The first part is the nucleus which must contain at least one proton and may also contain neutrons. Protons are relatively large positively charged particles. Neutrons are approximately the same size as protons but do not carry a charge.

The other part of the atom is the shell also known as the cloud, this is where the electrons, relatively small negatively charged particles orbit the nucleus of the atom. Each shell or cloud contains a certain number of electrons and will not contain more than a certain amount

Proton Positively charged particle Neutron Neutral charge particle Electron Negative charge particle Majority of the mass of the atom comes from the Proton and Neutrons which make up the core of an atom. The electrons then orbit the center in orbitals s,p,d,f depending on what energy level, etc of the electron.

An atom has...
A nucleus
with 18 protons( positively charged)
and 22 neutrons ( uncharged)exactly in it.
Also, the number of protons equals the number of electrons(negatively charged) found in an atom.
