First of all, some people would consider you lucky--most clothes were designed to fit broad shoulders. Just look at the fashion models! their shoulders are usually wider than their hips.
However, if this really bothers you, here are some guidelines and suggestions:
When wearing jackets, go with more buttons towards the top.
Make sure the length of your Jackets and tops is a bit longer- to the hip instead of the waist. The cut off will draw attention and make your hips look wider.
Wear V necks to break up the single line. It works like an optical illusion.
Avoid drawing attention to your shoulders with details or decorations in that area, and make sure to wear rounded/soft shouldered clothing.
Avoid boat necks and halter tops but try something off-the-shoulder. There is a break up of lines and it looks very feminine.
Clothes that are a little fitted through the waist area but looser at the hips and thighs will accentuate hips and give you more of an hourglass shape.
Fuller skirts (A-line) and wide legged pants/trousers do the same.
One more tip: accentuate other areas like your face or your legs. by accenting your features and wearing skirts respectively.

To play down broad shoulders, wear tops that are made of naturally soft fabrics and that hang loosely without epaulets from your shoulders. Also avoid fitted or tapered tops. Anything that will focus on your waist will give you the masculine V shape that you are trying to avoid.
Distract the eyes from your shoulders by having a bold print, design, hip chain or a bold piece of jewelery that accentuates a feature that you are comfortable with, your bosom, neckline, hips, etc.
As for jackets and coats, avoid constructed ones.
The colors that you should choose should be colors that brings out the color of your eyes, hair and/or complexion. This will distract the looker even further from your problem area.
