I know I overused my old PS2 but I had fanned it when I was playing, I am not sure if it would happen also if I buy a Slim PS2. I usually play 10 hours a day during summer and 4 hours on regular days. Please help me, would I still buy another one and suffer the same? Does PS2 slim still overheats even if I fan it during game times? Any ideas please............ I still love my PS2 games and the new games that existed now.

if you are playing your old PS2 10 hours a day, and it lasted for two years, i'll guarantee you that if you'll do the same in your PS2 slim, your Ps2 slim would only last for 1 day. PS2 slim can only be played for 2-3 hours, and that is the maximum. if you really want to play your PS2 games still, you have two options, you can buy a new one, or if you want to save money, just go to a computer store and ask them what they can do to fix your old PS2. I think you should buy a new lense for your computer, because it is the common problem of old PS2s.

10 hours a day during the summer is a long time to play the ps2 sure you can get the slim one but at the rate you like to play it may only last you 2 years

First of all, you play for 10 HOURS a day? I mean I love video games, but not enough to keep my eyes on a screen for 10 hours! If you keep on over-using the console, the PS2 and the slim, it will definitely not last for over 2 years! Unless a miracle happens...

You'll be better off buying a new one. The PS2 is not a system know for its longevity, but if you just take care of it, I'm sure you'll get at least another 2 or 3 years out of it.
