Why do video clips especially on websites like "Youtube" come with frequent breaks on the first run and smoothly on the second run?

Buffering is like preloading a video before it can be played back. Even sites like youtube in reality is no different from downloading movies into your computer and saving them. The only difference is the file is only temporarily saved and thus deleted after some time.

Buffering happens when it's trying to play a video but you still haven't downloaded the video fast enough.

Since you claim to have a broadband connection, this means that your internet provider is slow, I suggest changing Internet providers, as any decent provider should be able to give you internet access that will not "buffering" any video running from youtube.
