i am also 37 weeks, and last week i was having cramps, but they were only on my right side and they would last about 20 min., only once or twice a day.
My OB said it was probably stretching. I am 50 % effaced and 1 cm dialated. He said probly not in the next 2 weeks, but anytime after that. But obviously I could go anytime. My last pregnancy, I went from 4 cm dialated to 10 cm within 3 minutes.
Like the others have said, if the cramps become regular and consistant and closer together, then you are in labour. Good luck girl!!

It depends on how strong and regular these cramps are.. If they are painful and regular it could be early labour.. More than likely it is just braxton hicks getting more intense due to you be so close to the end of your pregnancy. I am 38 weeks and been experiencing the same cramping for a week now. I would say in the next couple of weeks for sure. Good luck! Xx

I would say very shortly!! Contractions are like very strong period pains, although they start off quite weak so you may not realise what it is! If the pains continue and are regular, you are in labour. It sounds like you'll be meeting your baby within the next couple of weeks. Good luck.

Contractions feel very much like period cramps. If they are irregular and only slightly uncomfortable they are probably just Braxton Hicks contractions. If they are regular, start timing them! It isn't at all unusual to go into labor at 37 weeks.

Labor pains are very much like cramps. It sounds like the baby is preparing for its grand entrance! You should be having weekly dr visits at this point. Ask for them to check and see if you're effaced or dilated. You could go into labor very soon, or you could go on like this for 4 more weeks. Good luck!

You could be in slow labour!!!
If you are unsure then go to the hospital or go see your midwife.

The diarrhea is an illustration of your physique making waiting itself for hard artwork. the upward push in hormones will reason you to have unfastened stools. in case you lost your mucous plug; it potential your cervix is dilating and hard artwork is usually a million-3 weeks after this happens. you will possibly desire to have your Dr. examine you and he will verify despite if or no longer it relatively is tough artwork and admit you to the wellness midsection.
