Not really. The recoil is a rocket-like action. A closed pressurized chamber has the internal pressure exert equal forces in all directions and hence does not recoil in any particular direction. When suddenly a section of the wall is opened to make a hole, the force due to the previous pressure on that hole’s wall section disappears letting the opposite-direction pressure force to recoil the chamber.
