Computer is switchig on but it cant start up, keeps trying to. Is there anyway to reboot it if you dont have a back up disc ? Was working fine lastnight.!!!

Can Get the menu with Safe Mode Up etc, Tried Safe Mode & Reboot, No Joy.!!!

Couple of ideas for you.

First try holding down F5 and booting into safe mode. From there you might be able to fix the computer.

Secondly, if the above doesn't work try inserting a Windows XP Cdrom and then when it gets to the install screen say yes to setup and install when you have to select a partition press the R for repair.

I also know if you can boot up with F5 again and choose recovery console there is a command in there that will attempt to repair your files.

try safe mode
at the boot screen, hit F8 repeatedly, then a menu comes up.
then choose safe mode and try to fix the problems there or restore computer.
