I'll use guys for this example but it could apply to women as well. A sports team (baseball, basket ball, etc) on the college or pro level has a gay guy on it. I've never been in a team locker room but I imagine they all shower and change clothes together. With that being the case wouldn't you have to give the gay dude a separate shower/locker area? Not because there's anything wrong with being gay but because he likes getting it on with guys! What I'm trying to say is if you had a coed team you wouldn't make the guy & girls use the same shower/locker would you?

A gay dude checking me out wouldn't be threatening at all Rob. Doesn't mean I'm gay just because I don't care now does it? And I wouldn't feel threatened by a womans presence but I wouldn't want her there while I was undressed, the same way she wouldn't want me around if she was undressed.

I actually had a girl (18) in my gym class who was a lesbian. I can understand that some people would find it 'discomforting' that she might be sexually interested in you. But because she's a woman, there's no reason she wouldn't respect the others in the locker room, or as in your case, respect his teammates. In my opinion, women and men aren't segregated simply to prevent them from initiating sexual activity.
Yes, I can undertsand that problems might arise if a person isn't particularly moral. But this should be held on a more individual basis as misbehavior.

It's awfully presumptuous of you to assume that a gay man will be turned on by being in a locker room. As a gay jock, the locker room is a very familiar place to me. But it's a functional space where I go to shower and change clothes -- not a place to gawk at other guys who couldn't be less interested. Furthermore, when I'm with my teammates -- gay or straight -- my only concern is doing my best for the team.

I recognize that not everyone is like me, so let's assume that there's a gay guy in your locker room who appreciates the appearance of your body. Is that threatening to you? Would you be threatened by the presence of a woman in your locker room? If so, then maybe you have issues of your own and should avoid the locker room all together.

I really wouldn't worry about it. If you're okay with it and he's okay with it, there really isn't a problem. You do have the right to say something if you're uncomfortable though. I think it's always okay to say what you think, no matter what it is, as long as you do it in a respectful manner.

I see your point, but it's not like the guy's going to be attracted to every man he sees. And even if he is, he' s not going to rape him or try to turn him.(I don't think.) I'm not lesbian by any means but I'm flattered when any person is attracted to me. I'd be like "Yea, I know I'm hot." As long as I'm respected and not oogled at like some peice of sex meat. In either case, I think it's okay as long as respect is maintained.

most gays are fairly considerate of other mens privacy, and hey, if one of us is checking you out, take it as a compliment!
