Play all of the other games and don't worry about the online stuff. Your parents are trying to protect you and save money. You are lucky to have an xbox 360, many kids don't have one of the of the newer games systems and some don't have any game system all.

I have seen the best and worst of the online community. Trust me, you're better off without the worst. I was playing a team death match in Halo 2 over live and everyone was just shooting the crap out of each other, but this one idiot was just running around and sabotaging his team and mine. So finally his team members, after several expletives, made sort of a truce with my team, and we all ganged up on this guy.

I'm sorry... Well, they are trying to protect you, not that I'm being some psychologist freak, they just don't want you to play online with people you don't know that might want to kill you. In real life. Seriously, who's going to want to kidnap you while playing Halo? I play online on the Nintendo DS, like I'm going to state my phone #, my address, the state I live in, the school I go to, etc.! Hope things go well for you, dude.

You should obey your parents, of course. It will only be a short time until you are an adult who can do what he wants.
Then you wil get to make the decision: Do I play the Xbox or do I go out and make money so I can eat?
