Step 1.Right click on gray area of your window.
Step 2.Select Menu Bar option

This is normal behavior. Microsoft did this to simplify the Toolbars and to add usable space to Internet Explorer.

You can access the menu bar at anytime by pressing and releasing ALT so the Menu Bar will appear. After a command is issued or cancelled, it will auto-hide. The same goes for Windows Media Player 11.

To bring it back permanently: press ALT+V, Toolbars, Menu Bar. Note that the position of the Menu Bar cannot be higher than the navigation bar, which is permanently at the top.

Right click in a gray area....like under the address bar. You'll get a menu. Click on Menu Bar and it will put the File menu in.

right click on the blank bar, select Menu bar
