I have seen both and I have to say that they are two really different films.
I really enjoyed Dreamgirls as I love musicals and I thought the story was brill. It did seem a little bit long towards the end, but I'm glad I went to see it.
The Last King of Scotland is a very powerful film. I hadn't been born at the time of Idi Amin's grip on Uganda, but the film showed what a troubled time it was.
The actors really played their parts well. It is a little gory in places but well worth it.
I hope this helps.

Cant stand it it has to be one of the worst films ever made, too much singing, people bust out into song for no aparant reason. Its too long and very boring, Im more of an action film person myself.
