I truly feel fat and ugly too. When i get undressed and fold my trousers up i can't believe how big they are and to think i fill them so well. I am 29 weeks pregnant and this is my second child but i totally didn't feel like this with my first. I know my husband loves me and still finds me attractive but i do think it would be nice to hear him say 'i'm blooming etc' occassionally. I try to eat well but don't always succeed. I keep trying to concentrate on how to get nto shape following the birth...it kinda keeps me going. With my daughter the weight dropped off me when i breast fed but i have a feeling that won't be the case this time as i have put a lot more weight on. Stay positive and don't worry, as long as you are healthy for your baby.
Good luck

Okay, first of all I have to tell you that it never made me feel better just to have other people tell me they ALSO felt fat and crappy, so I'm not going to tell you how I feel, lol! What I will suggest is exercise! I couldn't do much initially because I was just so sick but once I started, I felt SO much better emotionally, and I also started actually feeling more fit than I was before I got pregnant.I walk, hike, and lift weights, and I have an exercise tape I do every other day that I liked from the library and went out and bought. I actually can see muscles that I didn't have before, like in my arms (my favorite place to concentrate on now!). But I know once I have the child and lose the extra weight I'm probably going to look a lot better than i did before - this is all just padding on my otherwise lean and sexy body, I tell myself! I also got rid of my full-length mirror a while ago, and my scale. i've struggled with body image problems for years so for me to say I found something that actually helped should be a big encouragement to you. At least I hope it is!!!

lol.. i feel like that at least once a month and i'm not even pregnant! The best thing for me i find is to hide all mirrors in the house and wear my favourite clothes that make me feel good.. with the mirrors out the way i cant be so judgemental!
I bet you're looking beautiful anyway.. all pregnant women do! Even if they do put on a few obvious pounds! Just enjoy being motherly and curvy! Also have a long bath, smother yourself in body cream and do something nice with your hair and make-up.. eat lots of fruit too.. that always give me a boost. Good luck pretty lady! x

yes its normal, i am nearly 5 months and not looking pregnant just fat at the moment. with my last i just had a tidy little bump but this time have put on weight all over. it doesnt help when you're only 4ft 10 inch, i feel like a tellytubbie,lol..my hubby is always telling me im gorgeous but i dont feel gorgeous at the moment so it doesnt make a difference what he says..now and again i will pamper myself, spend an hour doing my hair and make up and trying to find something nice to wear, it makes me feel good for a while but i suppose that's better than nothing, it's probably all the hormones running around our bodies...the way i look at it is that it'll all be worth it in the end... hope you feel better soon, big hugs from me.xx

I felt like that too, specially when I started getting my bump. But my husband actually finds me more attractive now that he did before and that made me feel better about it, and then when I felt the baby move for the first time it changed my point of view completely. Good lick and I hope you feel better soon, because being pregnant is the best thing a woman can go through and should be very proud of it...

There were times in my first trimester when I felt like that - I was bloated and couldn't fit into my clothes but didn't look pregnant.
But now I look very obviously pregnant, I love it! I found it really liberating being on the beach wearing a bikini because for the first time in my life I didn't worry about looking fat in a bikini - I knew that I just looked pregnant!!

It is quite normal to feel fat and un-attractive whilst pregnant.. I find that pampering myself and making an effort to dress nicely and put on some make-up makes me feel 100 times better.. Good luck!! Xx

Ignore the pillock at the top - it is a normal feeling - most women get it at some point - it passes - especially when you realise that the baby you are carrying is the miracle of life - put your feet up - take a nice warm relaxing bath and pamper yourself - and don't be afraid to have the odd choccy biccy or three!

yeah I think this is common, never mind normal, you always think that you'll feel great and be blooming, but when you really have a big bump, tired, sickness, and headaches the last thing you feel is sexy.
many men find it sexy but thats only because they dont have to live with the actual bump
This is normal so dont panic, but also remember that you will go back to normal and feel sexy again, so why dont you just enjoy not having to be a sexy woman for a while
Congratulations and Good Luck

Not until the very end when my ankles were so swollen I couldn't wear shoes! LOL
Pregnancy is a beautiful thing. Think of the miracle that's taking place inside of you. I've always thought pregnant women were gorgeous. Even if they don't realize it, there's a certain glow to them.
You ARE beautiful!
