Try moving his feedings around a little bit at a time. You can probably move each feeding back about 30 minutes every other day until he is eating when you want to. It is unrealistic to expect a one month old baby to sleep through the night tho. You've got at least another two months of getting up at least once a night to feed and change him. Good luck and congrats!

Thanks to God, if he is active, thats all you have to watch carefully.
Naturally mothers change the sleeping habits by giving the good suckling intervals, and watch the baby sleeping intervals.
Give them by changing there sleeping clock, from half hour delay, or if they are crying too much give them some and full feed after half an hour, means to change there sleeping habits gradually, and dont force them to do anything which they dont like.
If the baby is restless (but active), it means firstly that thank God he is okay. But may be, repeat may be, something is disturbing him, check he is not hungry (if you are not giving the top feed, then he may remain hungry), also check his dressing (don't use polyester rich clothing, always use pure cotton), overclothing can also irritate him, thing him as a full person as yourself, he can have the same troubles that might you have, just he cannot speak and you do.

Don't let the baby set the pattern, you set it.
Start out by everynight around 9:00pm SWADDLING him with a Swaddle me blanket and putting him down with a pacifier.
If the baby whines a little shush him and maybe put him close to the bumper (that is comforting against their face sometimes).
Do not pick up. Sometimes the whining just stops and they get tired and fall asleep.
Do this now before bad habits form and slowly every few nights move up the time about 15 minutes until you reach 6:30-7:00 pm. Lots of parents rob their babies of sleep by putting them to bed too late, a newborn needs to go to bed anywhere between 6:00-7:00 pm, no later.

Hi
Almost all babies do this for a while, so don't worry.
How to fix it? It may just take time, but you can try
to keep him awake more in the daytime - feed him
halfway and play for a bit then feed the rest.
Sometimes it will stimulate him enough to start a cycle where his brain begins to associate light and awake time.
At night when you feed him, keep the light very low -don't stop and play, just feed him and put him back in bed ( or rock him. )
If you don't have any other kids to care for during the day, you may just need to switch your shift of awake and asleep for a little while until he adjusts. We learn that dark is sleep time - it just takes some time ( there wasn't a whole lot of light inside )...
He'll get there ! And those dark circles under your eyes will eventually fade ...
Oh, and if you don't own a baby swing - I'd suggest one - they make a great one that has a cradle attachment - invaluable :)
Here's a link to some, but you can buy them lots of places...

I am you at the moment. My son's been staying awake from his early evening feed until at least 3am. I've trying to give him his bath, then feed him and then just cuddle him. When I go to bed he comes with me but is out into his moses basket. My thinking is he'll start associating being up in the room as a time for quiet and then when he's downstairs it's just napping. I have no idea whether this is going to work but he's starting to go to sleep at a reasonable time at night, sometimes, when it suits him......

I can recommend Mozart for Babies CD.
My twins are 5months old and have slepth through the night since they were 10 weeks old. I play the cd every night when I put them to bed at 7pm. Now every night, they associate the music with "sleep" time. Its great, rent a copy from the library and copy it.

will take maybe up to another month before baby starts to sleep through the night as at only a month old they need feeding all through the night as well as during the day time hours, all baby's do this.At this age at I would say for you to let him be and he will sort himself out quite soon, both my girls were sleeping through by the time they were about 11 weeks. At a month old they rule us and not the other way round....and sorry to say it continues..lol

Newborn babies (up to 3 months old) usually are awake at night. It will be difficult to try to break his sleeping cycle. But in the fourth month his sleeping habits will eventually change ... so for now you'll just have to spend the nights with less sleep... argh i just did with my son... tiring!

MOM, there is normally no easy way of making him sleep as u want . Remember he is a human being just like u, he has got whatever it takes to be a human being which will make him sleep whenever he feels tired, mom u cant make him and no child is the same as the previous even if they are twins. So friend, gradually he will arrange his own sleeping partten which u have to follow. Remember he is a boss now thats what it means to be a mother . good luck
