Has anyone been to Louisiana and can tell me when the best time to go?
Also anyone know how to get a visitors pass to see someone incarcerated in the state penitentiary? I am in London so not sure how to go about it?
Thanks.

The only time that I would not recommend visiting Louisiana is in "high summer" which is July and August. The heat and humidity can be a bit much for those who aren't use to it and the mosquito's are unbearable.
As far as visiting the state prison check out the link. I am from Florida so I can't really help in regard to Louisiana. The FAQ section should have information on visitation. If not then there is a contact link where you can pose questions.

Best time to be in La. is from April to June. Not too hot, and not cold at all.
I am from southern Louisiana
