If it's a PC, go to My Computer and on the left menu bar, click on View System Information
If it's an Apple computer, go to the apple icon on the menu bar on the top and click About this Mac

The first answer is good but that will tell you only your processor, ram, and version of windows. If you need to know what graphics card memory you have for playing games or something else, go to start, and run. Type "msinfo32.exe" without quotes and press enter. There is EVERYTHING about your computer.

If you want to find the "complete" details of your computer, (System Properties only show you the basic to know), then head to www.belarc.com, and download the program. It will complete detail "everything" about your computer, even the installed softwares, hardhward, just about everything inside your computer, including the Windows key series number.
