Neither, so far. While there is more data indicating the big bang theory it still is a theory, not proof. Any scientist is going to wait and see.

That would be the Big Bang for me.

The strongest point in favour of the Big Bang theory is the discovery of the cosmic microwave background radiation (at 2.7K as we know today).

Of course, there are many other key points that show why the Big Bang theory appears to be correct. For example, the fact that the light from most galaxies is red-shifted (meaning that the galaxies are moving away from us), the Olbert's paradox (that states that the night sky is dark, when in a static infinite universe the night sky ought to be bright) etc. See the link below to get an idea.

On the other hand, the State State theory is currenty an abandoned model, it has only historic value, that's all.

Big Bang, there is just too much proof for it. The Steady State theory was disproved a long time ago.

The Steady State theory was disproved about 30 years ago. Even its inventor admitted that it no longer fit the facts.

So the Big Bang theory is the only cosmological theory at present.

The steady state cannot explain the background microwave radiation at 2.7 degrees Kelvin, which is in all directions, to within one part in 100,000, but the big bang states that it is the remains of that event, cooled down after approximately 12,000,000,000 years, and the theory and observations agree fairly closely.

The big bang,with modifications.
A steady state universe must be infinite, and this universe is finite.

big bang theory because, even religions like islam has said that the universe was created after a big bang by god,you can see this in the quran, this was said when man did not even know the shape the earth, but quran said the shape of the earth ie , round before galileo.

Almost no-one beleives steady state theory. The evididence against it is too great. Wiki has a decent summary:

Neither. Quantum Physics states that the smallest of the smallest and the furtherest of the furtherest is only an illusion. What you see may not be really there.
