I don't think he does take it off, not completely anyway. It hasn't happened in the anime or manga yet, not to my knowledge anyway. I actually wanna see what the color of his eyes are, I think I'd be disappointed if they were dark brown and not something more exotic.

he hasn't fully taken them off, i don't think. but then again, i don't pay attention to him - he kind of creeps me out (and his english dub voice destroyed him completely)
