I do think that it's lost its way and seems to be in a very confused state. Having said that, so has most of the rest of the world - except China and India! I don't think you can put it down purely to race and religion - family life and values are in a state of turmoil too. Plus, there's no discipline or guidlines for anyone to follow and it seems that kids rule the streets. Oh dear, I do sound cynical - there has to still be some good, doesn't there? And there is - believe me, there's a lot worse places to find yourself living in than England.

I dont live there but a friend gives me the UK newspaper and it scares me to death. Every movie that ever depicted a grim futuristic view of the world, with barrels of flames in the streets,drug use, uncaring behaviour to old people,animals or even EACH OTHER seems to be the way real life in the UK actually is! I AM SCARED .

I don't even think the dogs want the UK anymore to tell you the truth, I wish this so called government of ours would get its act together and do the jobs they are paid for instead of arguing with each other like stupid kids in a playground.

Yes, they should join the Euro.. the Pound is the Pound the world round but in EU the Euro rules!

Yes I agree. It is a horrible place to live these days, are Taxs are high our standard of living is poor, our streets are full of thugs and insulant kids, I read this morning about how they are to review the council tax and penailse you for having nice house, near shops, etc....views.... double glazing etc etc.... what a shambles,,,, I hate this country!

I dont think, I know it has! I am afraid that I am ashamed at the moment to be from the UK, almost ashamed to be British! Very sad!
