Depends what sort of acne it is. If it is severe with red pustulous acne then its best you shower with a medicated body wash (found at chemists) and also see a doctor, wearing natural fibres next to your skin like linen, or cotton helps too.
Seems it you have it over such a wide area then you should consult your doctor and ask him to refer you to a good dermatologist who can subscribe not only a strong body wash solution to shower in, but also topical treatment cream and perhaps even oral anti-biotics:)
Having a well balanced diet of fruit and vegetables helps too.
Good luck and hope it all clears up soon:)

I have it on prescription in the UK, but I believe it's available over the counter: Panoxyl. It's a face/body wash. I've found it to be really helpful. There are also many topical lotions available from your doctor.
I tend to use Savlon as a moisturiser. Sounds odd, but the mild antibacterial agent if pretty effective.
A good facial/body scrub once a week works wonders also. Don't be tempted to do it more often; you'll make your skin dry.

Mild acne can be treated by benzoyl peroxide and salycilic acid. Try using Neutrogena acne products (especially for body). Peter Thomas Roth carries a fantastic face treatment called Benzoyl Peroxide and Sulfur.
