Okay, the first thing to ask is what kind of stlye do you wear in general, secondly is there any kind of theme to the wedding style wise, thirdly silly thing to ask I know have you spoken to your daughter about your outfit for the day?
Being a summer wedding a dress or lightweight suit would be a starting point as you will need to take the weather into account, sandals or shoes would be more suitable footwear for the season with a smart jacket or wrap in case it gets cold.A small handbag for essentials, lippy ,camera and tissues of course :o)simple accesories always work well and do you want to wear a hat?
I know this answer is full of more questions but I am happy to help with more information.Hope this is a good starting point though i feel i may have just reiterated questions you have already asked yourself.

I would go for something long and slinky, even if it is during the day. Not satinny material though, and plain. Wear something you will be comfortable in, because you will be stnding on your feet a lot.I am sure your daughter has a colour theme and she can suggest some colours. If it is at night a bronze or green would be good.

Wear tasteful clothes for your your figure, don't wear white or black. No pantsuits - you're young mum 40ish! Pearls or funky beads and simple dress would be nice. Have your hair done. Congrats!

i think that it doesn't matter what figure you have - you should wear a dress that fits you the best, the color of it should be definatly different from the brides gown and her maids. If you have a good slim figure then the length till knees would be great, if not then it should be long
good luck

ask your daughter to help pick out your outfit that way you won't clash with the bridesmaids and she'll be able to keep you young looking.
just avoid all the old dutsie stuff like pearl necklaces and cardies, alright on their own these days but not together

I feel that pure linen is the way forward when it comes to summer weddings. a linen suit is timeless and can be worn agin and again, neutral couloured witha really special top underneath.
