Wow, it's not a poem people, it's a song. A pretty good one to. One of the only one's of Keane's that I actually like.
And there's not exactly much you can say about that statement. It's not a generalised statment, it seems to be more discussing a personal feeling of the writer. You could relate it to many many things. To me, if you take that statement alone and not the whole lyrics, it is saying this could be the end, so lets hide. But it isn't saying this is the end. You are hiding because of what you think might happen, which isn't ever a good thing to do.
