Why is it that so many Americans don't use the most powerful tool they have for getting the government they want?

Seems like they DID in 2000, but no ammount of votes can trump fraud and election theft. Gore won the popular vote. Remember? There are enough grounds to question the results in 2004 in Ohio. Maybe many of the ones who actually did vote for him have buyers remorse now that they can see him for who he really is.
Why did the Supreme Court ingnore the will of the voters in 2000 and APPOINT Bush to his first term ?

I´ve only voted once. That was for Kerry, and the only reason is I wanted to do what I could to prevent somebody (in my opinion who is) an idiot from stealing the votes yet again...but it turns out that it didn´t matter, my vote. He stayed in office just the same, and I for my opinions got a little bit sadder just the same. So your question was why don´t people who don´t want GW in charge vote? Well, I WILL vote again on whoever seems a bit less evil than the Bush-Cheney way. Just an opinion, please don´t bite my head off.

I hear what you're saying and kind of agree. BUT BIG BROTHER has his electoral vote and THIS IS what put busherjerk in office back in 2000. He lost the election by popular vote (what WE the PEOPLE voted) GORE WON, NOT BUSH. BUT big brother took their electoral power and voted busherexcuse in. SO in plain English our vote (The people) doesn't mean a mother f**king thing. The government proved that with busherexcuse. After that I can understand why people DON'T want to vote.

You've been misled by the mainstream media. Back in 2004 obviously he was voted back in as president for a reason and this was after 9-11. If only people used their common sense more. It's easier to find fault then it is to find the good in people.

We DO ! the last voter turn out was good, the system works, not ALL American's HATE "Bush", STOP reading the "NY TIMES" on-line, it's run by a bunch of Liberal Pukes, and does NOT reflect how the American public feels. The NY times specifically goes out of it's way to discredit any administration that does NOT support it's liberal views, it has leaked out secrets involving the locations of overseas military operations, and has been caught "OUT RIGHT LYING" and making stories up, it is NOT a credible news source.

I suppose many people didn't know how he was going to behave the way he has. The popular vote doesn't count anyway. They go by the electoral college votes.

why dont more vote...your kidding right? Because its not enough to vote and hope for the best. Politcians have breached that type of trust...for example.
with the pelosi reid regime, one of her first acts was to buy a 757 at taxpayer expense to junket her campaign supporters back and forth to austraila...what we got with the last president was.

- The only president ever impeached on grounds of personal malfeasance
- Most number of convictions and guilty pleas by friends and associates*
- Most number of cabinet officials to come under criminal investigation
- Most number of witnesses to flee country or refuse to testify
- Most number of witnesses to die suddenly
- First president sued for sexual harassment.
- First president accused of rape.
- First first lady to come under criminal investigation
- Largest criminal plea agreement in an illegal campaign contribution case
- First president to establish a legal defense fund.
- First president to be held in contempt of court
- Greatest amount of illegal campaign contributions
- Greatest amount of illegal campaign contributions from abroad
- First president disbarred from the US Supreme Court and a state court
and your worried about Gwb. that perhaps is the problem
instead of falling victim to the liberal media bias, you need to get invovled and examine the real problems. voting is certainly commendable but you need to be a bit more discerning in the decisionmaking and reactive when it isnt right Its not just voting...you need to also be reactive and involved when these types of things happened. the argument that..theyre all like that doesnt play well anymore. the consequences are too tragic...involvement in all areas and vigilance to the after effects is the answer.
hopefully vigilance AND voting is a more effective answer. I feel most people simply dont want to get involved.
