I think you might have to learn to live with the '5 o'clock shadow', as there are few products/procedures out there that are really advisable for extensive use over the face.
Wear it with pride! :)
If you're determined to give a few a go though, try using the hair removal creams designed specifically for the face (though they may not be terribly effective on thicker stubble), and sugaring can sometimes be a gentler alternative to waxing. There is a permanent treatment called 'Epi-light' which a lot of girls swear by; might be worth a go...
I still think stubbly in moderation is a good thing though...
;)

Dillon, here's a shaving lesson: My friend, never shave without cream. You get a washcloth and wet it with water that is as hot as you can stand. Wring out the water and lay the cloth on your face, pressing it into your skin. What this does is soften your beard. Next, put some shaving cream in your hand and rub it on your face, covering everywhere you want to shave. I have a feeling you got this part down, but don't use too much cream. Next, wet the blade in very hot water and start at your sideburn. With one hand, pull the skin slightly to tighten it as you apply the blade and pull it in one direction straight down your cheek. The next thing is to turn your hand a little and make the blade go in another direction over the same place. Your facial hair growns in many directions, so it will take a few passes with the razor to get all the hair cut off. A very important lesson is to not change the direction of the blade during a stroke and don't make any one stroke very long. You run the risk of cutting your skin that way. Watch what you are doing at all times and always use your opposite hand to stretch the skin a little. Never press too hard against your skin. The hair you want to cut is on the surface and you don't want to draw blood. When you have finished, run your hand over the area you have shaved and if you still feel hair, then look closely to see which direction it is growing and shave it off in the opposite direction. Wipe the excess shave cream off your face and then rinse the cloth. Refill it with cool water and lay the cloth against your face again. Last, apply some after shave if you have it, but don't use more than a few small drops. It should make your skin tingle but not burn. If you have questions, let me know. Good luck to you.

shaving can cause irriatation and sensetivety to your skin, it can become red sore and itchy also
there is three stages of hair growth which menas when you shave there is still hairs pushing through the surafce of the skin, depending on the satge of hair growth the hairs can come bk at different stages
shaving only takes off the surface hair, can cause irritation
creams take of the surface too, can cause irritation
waxing removes the hair from the hair follicle and can grow back
in 4-6 wks, can cause ingorwn hairs and cause bald patches
also your can try lazer treatment which involves several treatmens were a current is used with the use of a needle which permantly prevents the hair form growing back, however to my knowledge hairs can come back and the longest case i know of is after 7 years
there is many options to chose from but simple things like making sure your razor isnt blunt, making sure you exfoliate your face 1-2 a week to remove deads skin reveal a healthy complection and produce a better fresher result for shaving, also try steaming your skin before a shave too and make sure you moisturise afterwards, your skin is an organ of the body and many people forget to keep it healthy so consume products for your skin

You could try laser hair removal but it's a bit expensive.
