Hi, if you've seen this play can you tell me what it's like? is it disturbing at all?

I haven't seen the current production (and, sadly, I don't suppose I will), but I've seen literally DOZENS of productions of this play over the years. It's one of the most brilliantly written plays of the late 20th century.

Is it disturbing? Hell, yes. By design. It's the story of a young man who commits an unspeakable crime, and of the psychiatrist who works with him to find out WHY he did it.

The film version (starring Richard Burton) is quite good; you might want to give it a look.

Hi Shazza, just answered a question about this a minute ago. It's a great play. Yes it's disturbing but very impressive and symbolic. There's quite a bit of swearing and nudity but that is fundamental to the characters and the plays themes in general. Would definitely recommend and all of the cast is pretty unmissable.

No, its getting so much press coverage though. Unfortunately, I live in Ireland and don't see myself being able to see it anytime soon. Pity though, it looks brillaint.
