I wish I were bloody American right about now so I don't have to go without extra work piled onto the days I've already skived off all of which my mum does not know. If it were a holiday, so much easier. I wish I were retired so I were always on holiday. Too bad 17 is far from retirement age.

Because right now it seems to be a pain to you, but in ten yrs time u will see it differently. There is nothing we can say that will make u go to school, because Im sure u have heard it all before. Its just really rubbish having no money and going to bed everynight worrying about how u r going to pay all ur bills. So u can either, hope to win the lottery which is extremely unlikely no matter how much u wish or pray or u can go to school, work hard get a good job and then have a nice life with a good wage and go on the holidays u want to or buy the shoes ur children will need. Or be able to take a yr out to go travelling.

I know school can be stressful and challenging at times. There are multiple reasons you should go to school and stay in school. Most teenagers believe that missing one day is OK. That's not true one day becomes two..two becomes four...four becomes six... then your drop out of school and you're left behind in society. If you think school work is difficult now imagine what would happen if you had nothing else to depend on but a job you hated? You would be forced to endure an unsatisfying, tiresome, pathetic life all because of one decision.Being an American has it's disadvantages here the teen pregnancy rate, divorce rate, and school drop- out rate is increasing dramatically. Do you want to be another statistic? I'm 18 I just graduated May 2006 it was the happiest moment in my life. You CAN do it-be above the influence!

Did you not hear that chief executive officers make more than 400 times what the average guy on the shop floor makes? If that isn't incentive enough to make you get up and go to school and get a good education and live a good life and be able to take vacations and own a yacht and an airplane, then sleep on young person, sleep on. Only thing though, don't blame others for your own failure. Remember every decision you make in life has consequences.

You should not go to school, because by skipping school you are way cool. You are so rad and rebellious everyone will want to be like you. You will by far be the coolest 12 year old in middle school. You may actually learn something by going to school which would be terrible. If you skip school many cool things could possibly happen. You might get the opportunity to huff gold spray paint or get impregnated by your 19 year old boyfriend. If you are extremely lucky you and your friends will steal a 6 pack of smirnoff and get slightlyy buzzed. Rock on!

I presume that when you grow up you'll be looking to get a house, a car, some nice clothes, a trendy phone, have money for going to the cinema, eat out, go the pub with your mates? Am I right? Well, in order to do all those things, and have all those material posessions, you need to work, and work hard.

Or you could just stay in bed and practice saying, "Would you like fries with that?" as you'll be saying it for the rest of your life, as you go home to your dingy bedsit, to watch your little black and white television, smelling of cooking oil.

i know which one I'd prefer.

I know how you feel, I used to skip school, but just wait till you start work, you will wish you were back at school, all those hloidays, if you are having problems talk with a guidance teacher, you will eventually get found out, believe me, although I was married when my mum found out about me.

go to school. i can only say old moaners say *if I knew then what I know now"
if you start off working in an unskilled or manual labour job chances are that twenty to thirty years from now you will still be doing the same kind of job (if you can get a job).Saying that, there a plenty jobs if you look hard enough ,all of them low paid, and while you are young it doesn't matter so much but it will later.

I hated school but always went, and boy am I glad I did. Now I have a job, a house, a car. If I didn't I would be that sad 40 year old bloke pushing a broom around McDonalds.

I dropped out of school at 14 years old and have regretted it ever since. Make sure you go everyday, I know it can be boring sometimes but look at it this way. It's only for a few years and it can determine your life in the future. If you miss out on school, you will miss out on a lot more later in life.

Because you could find yourself sitting at your desk in a few years time, with a crap job and crap pay, munching a Snickers, the highlight of your day, wishing you had gone to school more, just like me.
