What is the percent aluminum in potassium aluminum sulfate dodecahydrate?

(1 * atomic mass of Al)/(molecular mass of AlK(SO4)2 * 12H2O) and multiply it all by 100

Work out the molecular weight for the formula given, by the usual rules, including the water of hydration. Since one mole of potassium is found in one mole of the compound, the result would be the number of moles of compound, i.e. 446.6 grams divided by the molecular weight. Nobody in his right mind would recycle aluminum by doing this; you wind up oxidizing the aluminum (to no useful purpose) and then just have to reduce it again -- at a huge cost in energy.
