Not missing the point at all. No real things as biological 'races' set apart from another. Race is a social and cultural construction reinforced through institutions and individual racism. Not different subspecies either. However, human beings are differentiated in a lot of different ways. Are you talking about ethnicity? Nationality? Culture? No matter how you distinguish between them, none is more advanced than any other (since I assume you are suggesting a biological sense here, and not technological), and we are all equally similar to primates.

'Advanced' is a judgment-laden term that suggests that some are better than others on some universal scale of measurement. Do you think people in western, industrialized nations are more advanced than indigenous people in South America who live in the rainforest? I challenge you to move down there and try to survive by yourself without any help from local denizens. Culture must be assessed within the context of the particular environment to which it has become uniquely adapted (quite successfully, I might add), and not on some presumed teleological scale of "progress".

Humans:-) Why are you asking a question you already answered for yourself. The most common answer will not change your mind. We are not missing the point by saying humans. I just believe we all started at the same point and are at the same point So no-one is ahead of the other.

Probably the Chinese/Japanese:
* They're the oldest continuous civilization which attest to their longevity as a civilized people;
* don't think its the Europeans as some are very hairy like chimps and most only became civilized around the 1200AD

As for the primitive primates:
* Africans, Indians, Malays, Aborigines, Indigenous native people. etc
