Hello! I have gone to a montessori school for most of my life because it was the only school that worked with our schedule, now however i am going to go to a public school for 8th grade next year. I am really looking forward to having a class size bigger than 18, but I am really afraid of doing math on a whiteboard in front of alot of people. I am quite good at math, but i am just a little slow to find my answers. I was just wondering what the best way to become quicker at math was. Any help is appreciated, thx!?

The best way to improve your speed is to work with numbers. Also, try to get your brain working as often as you can throughout the day. Try sloving maths problems, even very hard ones that you cant answer help because they get your brain going. Go onto google and search "mind bogglers" or "brain teasers" and by doing these you will exercise your brain. The more you do this the more efficeint your mind will become and you will be able to solve problems faster! GOOD LUCK in your new skoool!!

It is not Maths but the irrational fear that stops you from being good at it. Besides, you are already good at it. Make a habit of explaining the simple sums to small kids in the family or neighborhood. This will make you morer vocal with the Maths work and remove the audience phobia.
As far as possible, try to speak up the problem as well as the steps of the solution. This will allow you enough time to think up the solution. Practice will improve your speed and accuracy.
