How can I play my XBOX 360 on my laptop's screen?

I want play my xbox 360 using my laptops screen because my tv sucks..what do I need to buy to be able to do this? and will the quality be good? better than a crappy non-HDTV television?

Normally, no laptop has an input plug for its Monitor. Not even the S-Video Plug will do that despite derangedsimon telling you so.

The only way to do this is to get a TV card or TV-USB device for your laptop. However, through this you will only get standard TV resolution. So no HD picture.

The only way to get the Xbox's HD picture is with it's HD component cable or the HD VGA cable, to plug it into a standard PC VGA Monitor.
Since the Monitor of your laptop is connected internally, you will have no chance on getting to this VGA connection.

So all in all: It's not possible for HD. But if standard def. is good enough for you, get a TV card.

It depends. If the XBOX 360 connecter is S-Video or something that your graphics-card supports, then you can.
If it is a normal RCA plug (the yellow, red and white plugs) then you may have to purchase an adaptor for it.

Try searching 'RCA to S-Video' on eBay or another shopping site.

However, since it is a laptop screen you want to use it might also not be possible due to the screen being connected to the computer inside, not externally like a normal desktop PC monitor. Ask your manufacturer if this is possible before making any purchases.

howdy, yeah you are able to play a 360 on your laptop reveal. bypass on google and seek for seize enjoying cards. no longer inner ones on your computing device yet exterior ones. all you do is hook it up on your usb hookup and plug the 360 into the seize card and bam you will see what your doing on your computing device. I truthfully have a dazzel dvd professional yet i can only play the xbox on a small reveal. so im tryign to choose what to do to get it complete view. nicely ill ttyl yet anymore questions only remark and ill get lower back to ya.
