I think she just wanted to give her hair a new start,she's ruined it with extentions over the years. So she's growing it from scratch. But the psychoanalysists are having a field day saying she's a nut job,what do you tink?

I'm not slating her i do feel for her. She's gone from being idolised and her relationship with justin. To marrying a loser and having 2 kids, no wonder she's a bit wobbly.

I shave my head every week and I have not yet had one news paper column concerning my mental health - why do I go on!
I would say that if she's anything like me then she's quite a nutter - even though I am a male. I wonder if sh has a hairy bum like me as well....

It's not just her shaving her hair!! Seeing her face in those photos you can tell she is at breaking point!! About a year ago i nearly had a breakdown and can see it in her eyes that she is not right and needs help!! I am not a Britney fan but am feeling very sorry for her and hope she gets well soon. She has been in the public eye since she was 11 and the press (who once loved her) have now made her life a living hell and they are mainly to blame!! Yes she has made mistakes (like we all do) and hitting the bottle is what a lot of people do when they are having problems in life!! I just hope she pulls through this for the sake of her kids.

What better way to get your name in the headlines - the alcholism and drug taking and partying isn't getting as much attention any more so she did this. If she didn't want publicity from it then why didn't she shave her head at home - a lady with all the money that she has surely could have a hairdresser come to her home - and a tatoo artist for that matter....... I don't know I think brittney is either very silly or very smart to have done a lot of the things taht she has done ( in terms of her career and popularity) people are always wanting to know what she is doing and stuff. I always think about celebrities and how REAL things are, convenience marrages to boost careers, scandels for ratings and so forth.... doesnt Brittney have an album coming out soon?

You dont need to be a psychoanalysist to KNOW shes a nut job. Shes being given the sort of opportunity that millions and millions dream of, and shes ruined it.
Driving with kid on lap
Flashing bits in the car (those photos!)
Crying for 10 mins before having head shaved? Also, if its just a shave WTF did she have to go to a salon (and call the staff to come and open just for her) when she could have done it at home in the privacy of her home.
Attention seeking, screwed up, sad, lonley girl. Shame really, she had it all.

She's gone mad, crazy, completely insane. She must be filled with frustration, desperation, confusion and every negative energy a person could ever feel. I bet she regrets it all now. She should grow up, cause she has two babies and she's still partying out with no undies instead of taking care of them, she acts as if she's still 16. Britney was too desperate to get a husband and now look what happened to her, she married some average guy and now she's a loser herself, Britney get a life.

i dont know if anyone had though of this but maybe postpartum depression? she is never with her kids doing wild crazy things....she is a human like everyone else and doesnt need to be treated like the only person to have ever made a mistake......almost every mom in the world has dropped her baby or conked them on the head it happens and the hair thing is probably just a crazy whim i just tryed to dye mine blond and i have dyed it so many colors before that i now look like courtny love on crack so all i can say is things happen and she is still human people should let her make mistakes

When I woke up this weekend and saw this story on CNN, my first 2 thoughts were:
1) She's continually spiralling downward into this nut job persona.
2) She might be pulling the Madonna angle of past. Someone who can reinvent herself. Only problem is, Maddona is a business genius. Britney isn't.

HI glad you asked its a good question. I do think its a sign of a breakdown actually, she checked into Rehab then out after 24 hours, so she needed help but didnt get it. Why would you go so far to give yourself fresh hair? A nice short cut would be preferrable? My kids are asking as fans of hers and I do think its the start of a breakdown. Hope not though I would rather be wrong. Wish she could get a grip to be honest.

She does look a bit like a nut job though, with it that short, she looks like a convict!! There are other ways of getting her hair back in condition

She may be a nut job--she married KFed after all--but I do not think her shaved head is indicative of any mental health issues.
