The United States and other countries at the North Pole celebrate christmas with a lot of snow and shivering wind in Australia, however most people go to the beach to surf and enjoy the sun's heat. Can you explain why?

It all depends on your location on the planet earth with respect to the sun. The poles are very cold and it is very hot at the equator.

Near the equator an equal amount of sunlight covers a much smaller part of earth than near the poles. Because of that it is generally hotter near the equator.

The abscence of seasons is because the sun is always more or less right above you on the equator. In Holland where I live the sun is about 25 degrees to the south at the start of summer (June 21), and more than 70 degrees to the south at the start of winter (December 21). If you go even further north the sun doesn't come up at all during winter

the philippines is close to the equator so there is no such thing there as seasons,,its called equatorial climate where its warm during the day and theres a shower almost everyday in the evening around four oclock
look at the latitudes of the other places on a map and you will know...the more the latitudes the colder the climate
